Maeve & Frankie’s Story
Frankie and Maeve met in the fall of their third year at the University of Virginia’s Saint Anthony’s Hall. Once they started talking, they never wanted to stop.
After dating long-distance for two years, Maeve and Frankie reunited in New York City and chose to build a home on the Upper West Side. Now, they spend their time studying at Columbia University (Maeve psychology, Frankie business), exploring the city, cooking favorite recipes together, and laughing a lot.
On June 2, 2025, Frankie planned a picnic on the Loire River and asked Maeve to be his wife. She said YES, which means it’s time to plan a wedding! We hope you can join us for the celebration!!!

How to Get There
The three Sicilian airports available to guests are Catania (CTA), Comiso (CIY), and Palermo (PMO). We recommend most guests fly direct from New York JFK into Catania, as the drive from the airport to Ortigia is only about an hour. Our other recommended options are as follows:
Navigating from the Airport to Ortigia
For guests who wish to prearrange a ride, we will share the name of a trusted local shuttle service and use the arrival times we collect from guests to help group pickups from Catania and Comiso. Shuttles are booked and paid for directly with the service. Shuttle service details to be confirmed. If you do not use the shuttle, we recommend renting a car, as there are limited ride hailing services on the island (Uber works in Catania and Palermo for licensed taxis and Uber Black only; there is no UberX in Sicily).

If You Rent a Car
Ortigia has a limited traffic zone (ZTL). It is active Friday 9pm to Saturday 2am and Sunday 11am to midnight, and entering during those hours brings a €70 fine. Park outside the island or confirm parking with your hotel before arriving.
Planning Your Trip Home
With most guests heading home the morning after the celebration, Sunday, May 2 is likely to be the busiest and most expensive day to fly out of Sicily. If your schedule allows, you may want to consider departing on Monday or Tuesday instead. Fares are often gentler, and you will have an extra day or two to slow down and enjoy Ortigia.
